I have slowly been trying to created a more curated closet. I have found I do so much better getting dressed in the morning when I have fewer options of things I really love. Especially when it comes to work clothes. I saw these leopard print flats and immediately fell in love. They are so comfy and nearly feel like slippers to me, which is a bonus. I love them so much I probably wear them way too frequently and they are the kind of item that people remember. Not sure that’s good when I wear them nearly 5 times a week.
We installed our vanity, sink, toilet, and plumbing fixtures this past weekend in our upstairs bathroom! I finally got to use the faucet I bought 3 years ago! I initially ordered it for our downstairs half bath that we redid after we first moved in, but we ended up having to change the vanity at the last minute to one that only had a 4-inch center spread faucet. So rather than returning this faucet I kept it for a future bathroom renovation because I loved it so much. 3 years later and I am still so happy I did. The quality is amazing – I can’t get over how heavy it is. Plus it’s gorgeous and classic.
As someone who has a life goal of living on a lake (or water) someday I was all over the images of the Jenni Kayne lake house. Also, Austin and Amie’s new home is so pretty and unique.
We recently started watching Succession and I am hooked. It makes me cringe, but is so intriguing at the same time. Another show I have been very into recently is Downton Abbey. Why did I wait so long to watch this show? I love everything about it. Especially the very inspiring interiors.
This weekend I will be hanging out with my grandma while she is in town and wrapping things up with the upstairs bathroom! My goal is to get the bathroom 95% done. It’s really finishing details at this point (cleaning grout haze, caulking and painting the trim, and styling it) so fingers crossed it goes quickly!
Happy weekend!
