This is my new favorite cozy sweater. It’s a poncho sweater that makes it feel like I’m wearing a blanket, but is nice enough for me to wear to work. I have been wearing it every week on repeat.
Nathan recently showed me Ashely Bredemus’s blog, An Outdoor Experience. She lives in a remote area of Minnesota and writes all about off-grid living. I went down the rabbit hole and read a bunch of her posts, but the one on slow living really stuck out to me. This is something that has been on my mind a lot recently.
This speckled vase is the perfect tall addition to my fireplace mantle. My parents got it for my birthday and I was smitten at first site. I struggle finding pieces that don’t look tiny on our mantle because our fireplace is so tall! This vase is the perfect pairing with faux eucalyptus stems.
We are hosting thanksgiving this year and I wanted to create a menu that was traditional, but incorporated some new things too. I am taking so many notes from Half Baked Harvest’s Thanksgiving menu.
What to do with your leftover pumpkins? Ashley always has the best, environmentally conscious ideas. We plan to compost ours if the squirrels don’t eat them first.
This log cabin refresh is giving me life. One of my favorite designers completely remodeled a log home on Torch Lake, one of my favorite places on earth. Northern Michigan is dear to my heart. It is my dream to renovate a lake house someday and this log cabin is such an inspiration. The original charm definitely shines, with a twist of modern elements.
Did you see our bathroom reveal?? OUR BATHROOM IS DONE!
Hope you had a great weekend!
