I made a pretty big change up to my hair. I had around 7 inches cut-off and got balyage to lighten my hair up a bit. I am loving the new look. I’ve had my hair short before, but this specific cut and style just seems right. It may sound silly, but I feel like my hair finally reflects how I feel on the inside. It’s lighter (physically) and brighter. After a tough 2018, I have been making a lot of changes to make myself healthier, happier, and to be the best version of myself I can. Eating healthier, prioritizing exercise, focusing on my relationships, and in a sense rebuilding my faith. With a new hair style on top of it all I am really starting to feel like a new woman. Now that I have new hair, maybe it’s time for a new blog and profile picture? My dear friend Chelsea who own’s Chelsea Rich Hair gave me this amazing transformation. If you are in KC I would highly recommend her.
Demo of our upstairs bathroom started last weekend! We only worked on the bathroom on Saturday, but we made good progress; the tile, the toilet, vanity, and wallpaper have been removed. This weekend we plan to rip the flooring up, patch the wall where the wallpaper glue pulled away the drywall, and potentially start installing cement backer board where the tub and floor tiles will be installed. See our bathroom plans here.
Cathy of The Grit and Polish posted a DIY for how to install shaker pegs. This got me thinking that something like this would be nice in the upstairs bathroom for hanging towels.
I have plans in the work for “finalizing” our living room and master bedroom (among a number of other rooms in our house) … and I’ll just say this rug really has my wheels turning. It is so beautiful and a very reasonable price point for such a large rug!
