Happy Friday! Even though the weeks and days are still blurring together, I still get excited for the weekend because it means no more work (at least my office job) for the week! I can focus more on hanging out with my little fam, working on the blog, spending time outside, doing projects, or whatever else that I may want to do!
I’ve been working from home for almost 2 months now and I honestly love it! I miss seeing my co-workers in person, but I don’t miss going into the office. I got word from my manager that I will likely be working from home for at least the next two months and can possible do a flexible work from home some days of the week arrangement even after everyone is fully back in the office so that made me excited! Speaking of working from home – I’ve been working in our den turned office and though I love the dark paint color I have found I do not like working in a room that is so dark. I need light and bright to feel energized. The cozy color honestly just makes me sleepy. I am planning a small office refresh in the next few weeks to remedy that situation for myself! I figure if I’m going to be working from home I might as well be motivated in the room I’m working from.
Sarah posted about a floral foraging challenge and I am all about it! I love nothing more that finding fresh branches and blooms from our yard to bring into the house.
This article about Leanne Ford’s new perspective from the pandemic really hit home for me. Slowing down isn’t a bad thing. Plus her home renovation tour is dreamy.
Young House Love is renovating a smaller to them home in Florida, selling a lot of their belongings, and moving! They are aiming for a simpler life near the beach with warmer weather. I cannot get enough of their renovation updates. This is honestly something Nathan and I have talked about doing on numerous occasions, although we might pick a location other than Florida – although, living with warmer weather year round doesn’t sound too bad.
I had my 20 week anatomy scan last week and thankfully the baby is healthy and growing away! It feels like such a big milestone to reach and I know these next few months will fly by. Though everything about this pregnancy has been different than I expected, especially with all of the changes going on in the world and the impacts it has on normal pregnancy related things (Nathan can’t attend my OB appointments, no babymoon, and potentially/likely an impact on a baby shower) I am still so grateful to be carrying this little babe and relish in every kick I feel knowing we will be meeting in a few short months. We should probably get started on the nursery soon, luckily it’s all planned out.
Though I am not really going anywhere, except doctors appointment, I have definitely felt the need to get a few pieces of maternity clothing and some slip on shoes because putting shoes and socks on is starting to get a wee bit difficult. I ordered this slide sandals and I am loving them.
Did you catch my new textured art tutorial? I am so happy with how it turned out.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
