Today marks the start of a new blog series I have been wanting to start. I am calling it “The Friday 5”. In these posts I will feature the top five items that have been on my mind recently. They will mostly be centered around interior design, home decor inspiration, DIY, and organization tips and tricks, but I will throw in some recipes, travel… and really anything else as it comes to mind!!
Without further adieu, here’s my top five for today.
ONE
This kitchen from Studio McGee. Really, the whole house renovation they did is gorgeous, you should check it out! I know I already included this in laundry room inspiration post here, but I can’t get enough of it. It’s bold and modern, yet still feels classic. This kitchen is one of the main sources of inspiration for our phase 1 kitchen renovation, which I have shared progress on here, here, and here. It is a bit more bold that I would personally go when we do phase 2 of our kitchen renovation someday (full kitchen gut/remodel), but it’s a style I love and thought our phase 1 or “light” kitchen remodel was the perfect time to test it out.
TWO
We recently got back from a family vacation with my husband’s family where we stayed near Seaside Beach, Florida. It is the sweetest beach town. The water is a perfect shade of blue and the sand is pure white. Lots of cute shops and restaurants. We actually stayed at a vacation rental in the Watersound Beach Community, which was about a 10 minutes drive from Seaside. The Watersound Beach Community is stunning! The houses are gorgeous and the amenities are fantastic. We couldn’t recommend it enough.
THREE
These velvet pillow covers from H&M. I have a few of the square ones and they are fantastic. I love that they now come in lumbar pillow covers as well. H&M is one of my favorite sources for pillow covers because they are good quality and inexpensive. This one is less than $10! I love them because you can easily swap them out as the seasons change. I have been eyeing this deep blue to add to my collection for fall and winter.
FOUR
This forest green bench from World Market. Swoon. I have this thing for green. This bench is on my wish list for our master bedroom. I think it would go perfectly at the foot of our bed.
FIVE
These buffalo check drapes from Pottery Barn. They were on major sale for the Pottery Barn premier event last week (nearly half off!). I didn’t get them and now they keep popping back into my mind. I love a good buffalo check pattern. While it can feel a bit “country” for my typical style, I think paired with more modern elements these drapes would make a great statement in a room. I had them in mind for our dining room, which is a few rooms down the renovation punch list so I decided I was probably getting ahead of myself, as a I usually do.
It’s Friday, so that means the weekend is almost here! Have a great weekend friends!
